Ir. Dr. Reduan Bin Mat Dan

is a certified Machinery Lubrication Engineer (MLE), Machinery Lubrication Technician Level II (MLT II), and Machinery Lubrication Analyst Level III (MLA III) from the International Council for Machinery Lubrication (ICML). He is also a MIBoC-certified Vibration Analyst CAT II and a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with IMechE, UK.

He graduated with a degree in Petroleum Engineering from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, USA (1994). His early career began at MOX Bhd. as a Production Engineer in a welding electrode manufacturing plant, followed by Power Cables Malaysia (PCM), where he advanced to Head of Department, PILC Division, overseeing large-scale manufacturing processes.

In 2004, Ir. Dr. Reduan pursued his MSc. in Maintenance Engineering and Asset Management at The University of Manchester, UK, graduating with distinction in 2005. He later completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in wear debris and oil analysis.

Since 2006, he has served at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), where he is currently a Senior Lecturer and Head of Department, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. His research is focused on wear debris and oil analysis, with particular interest in predicting gear life.

In addition to academia, Ir. Dr. Reduan has been actively involved in consultancy projects on vibration monitoring for oil & gas and power plant industries, as well as delivering specialized training for both university students and industry professionals.

Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Mohd Azman Bin Abdullah

is a Chartered Engineer of the Engineering Council, UK under the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). He is certified Machinery and Lubricant Analyst (MLA) Level III & Machinery Lubrication Technician (MLT) Level II from the International Council for Machinery Lubrication (ICML). He is also a Professional Engineer registered under the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and a member of the International Association of Engineers (IAENG).

He graduated in Mechanical Engineering in 2002 from Universiti Tenaga Nasional, Malaysia. Upon graduation, he joined Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering (MMHE) previously known as Malaysia Shipyard Engineering (MSE) as a Technical Executive for the Machinery Department of Ship Repair.

In 2004, he joined Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) previously known as Kolej Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka as a tutor under the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. He furthered his study at the master's level and graduated with MSc. Automotive and Motorsport Engineering, in 2005, at Brunel University, UK.

He became a lecturer at UTeM and taught several courses such as Vehicle Dynamics, Vehicle Control Systems, and Green Vehicle Technology. Until 2007, he was actively involved in several types of research on vehicle design and analyses, semi-active suspension systems, and the development of active dampers for automotive applications. In 2007, he continued his study at the Ph.D. level at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology. In this university, several courses regarding tribology were taken such as railway maintenance, advanced tribology, and the frontier mechanical systems.

His thesis was related to railway dynamics and control systems. Upon graduation in 2011, he became a senior lecturer at UTeM. After being promoted as Associate Professor in 2017, he performed industrial attachment at ERL Maintenance and Support Sdn. Bhd. and improved his knowledge in railway maintenance and tribology, wheel wear, transformer oil analyses, brake disks, brake pads analyses, and gearbox maintenance.

Ir. Ts. Khairil Safuandy Bin Md Salleh

brings over 16 years of professional experience in predictive maintenance, specializing in plant vibration, thermography, oil analysis, ultrasound condition monitoring, database setup, evaluation, and diagnostics. His expertise also covers in-situ and shop dynamic balancing as well as project installations of advanced vibration monitoring systems.

He has contributed extensively to the power generation sector in Malaysia, providing both consultancy and training services to strengthen equipment reliability and optimize plant performance. His career began at TNB Janamanjung Sdn. Bhd., where he was responsible for reliability and engineering functions, including predictive and corrective maintenance, failure investigations, and the implementation of advanced monitoring techniques.

Khairil holds multiple internationally recognized certifications, including Vibration Analyst Category IV (Mobius Institute), Vibration Analyst Category III (Vibration Institute, USA), Machinery Lubricant Analyst MLA III (ICML), Infrared Thermographer Category III (ITC), and Ultrasound Level I (SDT). His educational background includes a Master of Business Administration (UiTM), a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Instrumentation), and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Electronics), all from Universiti Teknologi MARA.

With a strong blend of technical expertise and industry experience, Khairil continues to play a key role in advancing predictive maintenance practices, training professionals, and supporting industries in achieving higher reliability and operational excellence.

Ts. Muhammad Farhan Bin Norazman

A Certified Infrared Thermographer Level III from the Infraspection Institute, USA, and a Level I Airborne Ultrasound Specialist with certification from UE Systems. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Electrical (2013) and has accumulated over 10 years of expertise in condition monitoring and predictive maintenance services.

Farhan’s technical background covers a wide range of inspection and diagnostic techniques, including infrared thermography (shortwave and longwave), corona detection in high-voltage installations, partial discharge diagnostics using ultrasound, TEV, and HFCT sensors, transformer oil analysis and dissolved gas analysis (DGA), gas leak detection, and offline diagnostics for transformers and switchgear.

He has held key roles in reliability and inspection services, with his most recent position as Head of Department, Subject Matter Expert – Inspection at a drone technology company. In this role, he managed both domestic and international projects, overseeing inspections of solar modules from rooftops to utility-scale solar farms using advanced drone-based solutions.

With a strong blend of certifications, hands-on expertise, and leadership experience, Farhan continues to be a driving force in advancing condition monitoring practices and delivering reliability-focused solutions across industries.

Mej. (B) Ir. Chek Chang Jie

Throughout his career, he has played a key role in developing and implementing Service Life Extension Programs (SLEP), overhaul maintenance planning, and predictive maintenance frameworks for critical aircraft platforms such as the Su-30MKM and F/A-18D. His work includes monitoring structural fatigue life, analysing failure modes in aeromechanical systems, and leading technical investigations for major aviation incidents within the RMAF.

In addition to his technical expertise, he is a dedicated trainer with extensive experience delivering structured training programs for engineers, technicians, and maintenance leaders. He emphasises practical, field-driven insights, covering areas such as advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting, predictive maintenance strategies, aircraft structural health monitoring, aviation safety management, and incident prevention.

With over 17 years of experience in the military aviation industry, Mej. (B) Ir. Chek Chang Jie is a highly accomplished aeronautical engineer specialising in aircraft maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and condition-based maintenance (CBM) within the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF).

He brings extensive multidisciplinary expertise across aircraft maintenance operations and technical support, including oil analysis, vibration diagnostics, and weight and balance control. His experience spans both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft, with a strong focus on predictive maintenance and structural integrity management.

He holds professional and international certifications in aviation diagnostics, including ISO 18436-4 Category III (MLA III), and ISO 18436-2 Category III (Vibration Analysis VCAT III). As a registered Professional Engineer (Aeronautical), he is recognised for his ability to translate complex engineering data into practical, high-impact maintenance strategies.

Iszaizul Bin Ismail

is an experienced Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM) specialist with over 14 years of hands-on expertise in infrared thermography, partial discharge inspection, and predictive maintenance across oil & gas, power generation, and industrial facilities.

He currently serves as an Operations Manager, leading CBM teams, executing advanced thermography inspections, and supporting major assets including PETRONAS, TNB, and refinery turnaround projects. His technical strengths include furnace inspection, corrosion under insulation (CUI) assessment, and electrical/mechanical system diagnostics using advanced infrared techniques.

A certified ITC Level III Thermographer and Partial Discharge specialist, he has been actively involved in both field services and training delivery, including conducting in-house thermography programs and supporting certification courses. He has also contributed to setting up CBM teams and expanding technical service capabilities across multiple organizations.

With extensive regional project exposure and strong practical experience, he brings a results-driven and application-focused approach to training, bridging real-world inspection practices with industry best standards.
